As this is the month of February which has been considered the "month of Love" I encourage you to assess where you are, prioritize your health and take action. As a spouse this is the perfect time to date yourself. As a parent take yourself out while the kids are at school (make time). Even 15-30 minutes will work for you.
It is essential that you understand that life is a journey and although you may not be able to do every "self-care" regimen that you desire you can compartmentalize your desires into the entire month.
It is essential to incorporate these regimens and master the art of being creative in the process so that it doesn't began to feel force. So here are a few tips to utilize to get in yourself care regimen:
Find exercise activities that are fun.
Find people to be around with like minds.
If you get confused or frustrated make sure to get help (mental health therapy, coach, etc.).
Celebrate all wins (big or small).
Failure is ALWAYS A WIN.
What you don't do today you probably can do tomorrow.
Find joy in intaking foods that will not interfere with your body imbalance (causing fatigue, bloating feeling, etc).
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate properly daily.
In conclusion, TRUST THE PROCESS. Show up for you, your family and love ones. DO NOT FORGET TO ENCOURAGE YOURSELF ALONG THE WAY AND BRING SOMEONE WITH YOU!
